CNX 103 MAE HONG SORN PACKAGE 3 days/2 nights This guided tour will bring you to Mae Hong Sorn, the picturesque province in the northwest of the country. One way will be travelled overland through the mountain wilderness and the return trip by a short flight. Daily departure from Chiang Mai, minimum 2 persons Day 1: Chiang Mai - Mae Hong Sorn Photo: Shan women in rice field, Mae Hong Sorn, Northern Thailand. In the morning pick up from the airport or hotel. Full day tour on some steep and winding roads through the mountains to Mae Hong Sorn with various stops on the way, such as a local countryside market, some hot springs, the giant cave of Thum Lot, as well as a Lisu and Lahu tribe village. Arrive at the resort in Mae Hong Sorn early evening. Day 2: Mae Hong Sorn After breakfast enjoy a boat- or raft trip (you have the choice!) on the Pai River. Then opportunity for a one hour elephant ride through the jungle (optional). Continue to the Burmese border area and visit a Paduang "longneck" village. Go on and visit the town of Mae Hong Sorn with its picturesque Shan temples, like Wat Doi Kong Moo on a small hilltop and Wat Jong Klang at the small city lake. Day 3: Mae Hong Sorn - Chiang Mai Time left to relax at the nice resort or for some some more sightseeing in the surroundings, for example explore nearby Shan village After lunch take a short flight back to Chiang Mai.
