THS 100 - SUKHOTHAI STOPOVER
For people with less time
and who do not want to travel the long distance overland between
Chiang Mai and Bangkok or v. v., but are eager to visit Sukhothai
anyway. This mini package gives you the opportunity to get some
impressions of the former capital with its ancient temples, monuments
and ruins at the Historical Park. This itinerary can be combined
with most other tours in the north. A pleasant stopover on your
way from Northern Thailand to Bangkok or v. v.
DEPARTURE:
Private tour, daily from Chiang Mai or Bangkok, minimum 2 persons
DAY 1 CHIANG MAI - SUKHOTHAI
Late morning pick up from your
hotel and transfer to the airport. Take a short flight to the
former capital Sukhothai. After arrival drive for approx. 30
minutes to the hotel, which is located on the road between the
new town and the Historical Park. In the afternoon you have time
to visit the Historical Park by your own and see the old temples
and ruins. You have also the possibility to rent a bicycle and
cycle around these interesting sights. Afterwards return back
to the hotel by your own, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner.
DAY 2 SUKHOTHAI - BANGKOK
Some time to relax, then late
morning transfer (approx. 30 minutes) to the airport, which is
located some distance outside the town of Sukhothai. Take a short
flight to Bangkok and arrive there in the early afternoon (time:
13.50) and continue your journey. (In case you do this stopover
v. v. then transfer to airport early in the morning for flight
to Chiang Mai.)
PRICE INCLUDES:
Air ticket Chiang Mai - Sukhothai
and Sukhothai - Bangkok or v. v., all transfers as mentioned
in the above itinerary, accommodation in an upper middle class
hotel or in a tourist class resort (you have the choice), dinner
and breakfast.
NOT INCLUDED:
Airport tax in Sukhothai, entrance
fee Historical Park, all meals not mentioned in the above itinerary,
drinks, tips and personal expenses.
FLEXIBILITY:
As mentioned already this itinerary
can be done with begin in Bangkok and end in Chiang Mai as well.
Departure in Bangkok would be early morning, approx. 09.00. On
special request the distance between Chiang Mai and Sukhothai
or v.v. can be traveled by overland. If you wish to do so, please
mention it at the time of booking.
