DAY 1 CHIANG MAI - MAE CHAEM
Leave Chiang Mai in the morning and drive via some backroads to Doi Inthanon National Park, which is Thailand’s highest peak (2565 m) as well. On route visit picturesque waterfalls and hill tribe villages. Overnight in the small village of Mae Chaem.
DAY 2 MAE CHAEM - MAE HONG SORN 
Continue on some steep and winding road through the mountain wilderness, passing Karen and Hmong hill tribe villages. Arrive in Mae Hong Sorn late afternoon and spend the night at a nice resort with swimming pool, just outside the town.
DAY 3 MAE HONG SORN
Today spend the whole day in Mae Hong Sorn area. See some picturesque Shan temples and drive up in to the mountain wilderness close the the Burmese border and along some rural villages. On the way pass also some hot springs and a small waterfall. An optional boat trip to a Paduang ("longneck") village can be arranged. There is also some time left to relax at the nice country side resort.
DAY 4 MAE HONG SORN - PAI
Tour continues in the morning towards Soppong along some steep and winding roads, which offer great views to the surrounding mountain wilderness, as well as Lahu and L:isu hill tribe villages. Near Soppong visit Thum Lot, a large and spectacular limestone cave. It is possible to pass through the cave on a bamboo raft. Drive on to Pai and stay overnight at a small resort or guest house in Pai.
DAY 5 PAI - CHIANG MAI
Continue on steep, winding backroads. On route see some rural Thai and hill tribe villages. Finally heading downwards to Samoeng. Go on via the Mae Sa Valley back to Chiang Mai where you arrive in the middle of the afternoon.

Tour with Jeep (air-con) or similar vehicle. English speaking driver/tour guide, excursions as mentioned in the above itinerary, entrance fees, accommodation 2 nights at a very nice resort and 2 nights at simple, but clean guest house, daily breakfast
NOT INCLUDED:
All drinks, tips and personal expenses
FLEXIBILITY:
Tour can be shortened by one day. In that case spend only one night in Mae Hong Sorn. Please let us know at the time of booking if you wish to do so.
On special request, this program is also available as motorcycle tour with 250cc enduro bikes
Accommodation before and after the tour in Chiang Mai can be arranged.
